Our atelier grew out of a simple need: space to do things ourselves.
To design, sample and figure things out by hand. Not just to tell our story, but to show it. We found this place close to where both of us grew up, which made it feel familiar from the start. Almost like it found us instead of the other way around.

When we started DIMI, we searched everywhere for the right production partners. One thing kept coming up: a crucial machine was always missing. So we decided to get it ourselves. That first machine arrived in the back of a borrowed van. Heavy, impractical, and slightly intimidating. We didn’t fully know what we were getting into, but we learned by trying, fixing, and trying again.

Since early 2025, this has been our base. A space filled with fabrics, sketches, machines, and half-finished ideas. There’s a quiet rhythm here: time to experiment, adjust, and improve. Looking ahead, we want this place to grow with us. Into a workshop for future collections, and eventually a space to share with others who believe in honest work and local making.
